Dave Hyatt says “widgets are HTML+CSS+JS. They are not some JS-only thing.” The interesting thing in this post, however, is the mention further down the post about Flash and Quicktime.

I’m a little slow and late to the party, but does this mean, in essence, that there will be Flash available as an interface to desktop apps? I mean, I know that happens now, but it seems like a big step for Flash and probably really exciting news for Flash developers and the possibilities of relatively portable “Widgets”

sounds like web developers could use this, too. Pretty cool in theory. I should dedicate a few hours to reading up on it.
